TRIATHLON RACE Start time 8.00 PLACE: Agioi Apostoloi Chania Park.
Olympic: 1.5 swim, 40 bike, 10 running
Sprint: 750 swimming, 20 bike, 5 running
Super Sprint: 300 swimming, 10 bicycles, 2.5 runs
Sprint Paratriathlon: 750 swimming, 20 bike, 5 running
Relay: Spint & Olympic
The relay race is held with two or three athletes of the same sex or mixed team. There will be Men’s, Mixed and Women’s categories provided they declare 3 teams in each category regardless of age.
RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE-REGISTRATION: Athletes and athletes who have reached the age of 15 years and are in good physical and mental condition are eligible to participate in the race. Required to complete and sign the required documents (Application Form – Responsible Declaration). For participants under 18 years of age, a Responsible Declaration by a parent or guardian is required. Participation in the race will not be possible without producing a responsible statement that athletes have been examined by a cardiologist.
CATEGORIES: ⦁ Men’s General and Age Categories (<20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) ⦁ Women’s General and Age Categories (<20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) . Handicapped, Men & Women (<40,> 41) ⦁ Mixed, Men, Women & Disabled Crossroads
In order for each age category to be valid, at least 6 athletes must finish

Swimming: Compulsory swimwear is mandatory
Bicycle: For the cycling part, the EU regulations apply. Cycling, as far as the race is concerned, as well as the equipment of the participants, the non drafting regulation applies. The route will remain closed by vehicles until 11:00 am, athletes who remain after the threshold will continue if they wish at their own risk.
Running: The number must appear on the front of the athlete’s belt.
CONTROL: In the starting area from 1.30 to 45 minutes before the race.
ROUTE OF THE RACE
Swimming: in the eastern or western gulf of the Agioi Apostles depending on the weather, triangle 750 meters
Bike: The race path will be from the large parking lot to the Holy Apostles, to the Gold Coast, from the traffic light to the Golden Coast to the Cladissos to the traffic light to the Holy Apostles and back to the Large Parking. Route length 6.165m.
Running: From the large parking lot of the Holy Apostles to the Holy Apostles’ Lantern, a 2,000 m. (modifications are likely)
TECHNICAL CONFERENCE OF SPORTS – SESSIONS: The technical meeting will take place on Saturday 2/5/20 at 2pm (the venue will be announced shortly) Last instructions for the race will be given 45 minutes before the start. Monitoring is mandatory for all athletes.

Travel to Crete: Athletes outside Crete (with 1 companion) who will be registered in the race have the option of issuing the ferry tickets with 50% discount.

AWARDS: The first winners will be given handmade plaques while all participants will be awarded a finishing diploma and medal.

EXTRA EVENT CROSS AQUATHLON Saturday, May 2, 2020 Starting time 17.00 PLACE: Agioi Apostoloi Chania Park.
NOTE: The organizing committee has the sole responsibility for modifying this program. Any changes will be timely informed to the athletes. Athletes are required to attend the Technical Meeting prior to the race and thereafter to comply with the instructions they receive. Anyone wishing to take part in the race must have been examined by a physician and sign a responsible statement that they will fight at their own risk. There will be a Doctor in the races.
